Hi,

I found some pdf's about how to copy database from one to another server and how to create a new instance to a new server and transfer old data.

I have a small newbie question, if I use TS2007.DBF like my data tablespace and TEMP.DBF like temp tablespace, can I transfer ony TS2007.DBF file to a new server with same installation of Oracle?

Thanks. Embarassed

You can transfer the whole database, you cannot tranfer only a file to plug it into another database.
It is possible to do this for a (set of) tablespace through transportable tablespace method.

Michel
